  • Event Information

  • Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania is excited to host the JA Stock Market Challenge presented by Citizens at its new location, Duquesne University.

Due to the continued high demand for the JA Stock Market Challenge, we are once again offering two competition dates this year. Each school may attend only one of the following event days:

    Dates:

    • Tuesday, December 15, 2026
    • Wednesday, December 16, 2026

    Time: 9:15 AM - 12:30 PM
    Location: Duquesne University, Pittsburgh

The JA Stock Market Challenge presented by Citizens and hosted at Duquesne University introduces students in grades 9–12 to the world of investing and the stock market.

Participants first build their knowledge through JA Take Stock in Your Future, then put those skills into action in an exciting, fast-paced simulated stock market experience where each “day” lasts just one minute.

Working in teams of 3–4, students make quick decisions about fictional stocks while responding to breaking news, market trends, and changing conditions. Teams compete for fun prizes, and the group with the highest return on investment after 60 simulated days earns the title of JA Stock Market Champion.
